What is making its way around over there?
Zoolandia is home to over 200 animals. Nearly 60 different animal species reside in Zoolandia! Here you will find elks and emus happily existing together. We pay special attention to the animals’ well-being. Each one has a safe and comfortable enclosure to call home, and plenty of space to walk about.
Reptiles
If you dare, here you can look a wicked alligator straight in the eye. Luckily, all the constrictor snakes, lizards and alligators live safely behind a glass. The Texas rattlesnakes are venomous snakes. Our other snakes belong to the constrictor snake family. We also have various species of lizards, ranging from iguanas to skinks. The turtles live in water in or on dry land in a terrarium, depending on the species. The alligators and caiman have swimming pools in their terrariums, and in the summer time, you might see an alligator outside in its enclosure/pen.
Birds
Many different birds live in Zoolandia. You can imagine what a choir we have, when all the winged ones sing at the same time! Water birds such as ducks, mallards and swans swim in the bird pond. Emus, ostriches, and peacocks live in the stables, next to the horses and wallabies. The parrot house is home to both big and small parrot species. And a display of colour!
Mammals
You’ll find the elk, wild boar, reindeer, roe and mouflon near the hut-area in the woods, of course. There they can play, rest and feast without a care or any hurry. Quite often these friends will find their way to the fence for a friendly pat.
Domestic animals
In Zoolandia you will also find many familiar domestic animals like horses, ponies, donkeys, bunnies and sheeps. These friendly characters enjoy being petted.
